Bella Nipotina, trained by Ciaron Maher, has been secured as TAB’s horse for the $20 million Everest at Royal Randwick on October 19. This marks Maher’s first runner in the prestigious race.
Bella Nipotina, one of the top sprinters in Australia, ended last season with a Group 1 win in the Tattersall’s Tiara and recently placed second in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes. She will continue her preparation in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes on October 5.
Maher expressed his excitement, saying, “There is no more deserving mare than Bella Nipotina… She just keeps getting better.”
Bella Nipotina is currently the second favourite at $8 with betting sites, behind I Wish I Win. Brett Boyd of TAB is confident in their selection, stating, “We believe we’ve got the right horse to win this year.”
Craig Williams will ride Bella Nipotina in the Everest, joining I Wish I Win and Bustling as confirmed starters for the 2024 race.
