A capacity field of 16 plus four emergencies has been declared for the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes for two-year-olds at Caulfield.

The Lindsay Park stable of co-trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig won the race last year with Catchy and have four runners in Saturday’s $1.5 million event with unbeaten colt Long Leaf joined by fillies Enbihaar, Ennis Hill and Qafila.

Tony McEvoy has accepted for five horses with Run Naan, Kinky Boom and Oohood making the field while Aristocratic Miss and Roobeena are among the emergencies.

The Darren Weir-trained colt Native Soldier has snared the final spot in the top 16 while the four emergencies are Aristocratic Miss, More Than Exceed, Roobeena and Melveen.

The barrier draw will be conducted later on Tuesday morning.
