Trainer Desleigh Forster is taking a back to basics approach with talented sprinter Chapter And Verse, who returns to racing in the Group Three George Moore Stakes at Doomben.
Forster has made a gear change with Chapter And Verse and also opted for a jockey change with the booking of Mark Du Plessis.

“The blinkers will come off on Saturday,” Forster said.
“I’ve just gone back to basics. Mark knows him well and has won on him plenty of times.
“From where he’s drawn he should be midfield at worse, race nice and fresh and hopefully he can be close enough in running without getting him out of his comfort zone.”
Chapter And Verse’s normal racing pattern is to settle midfield but he showed surprising dash to win a jump out recently.
“He led from a wide gate at the 1000 metre start at Doomben and won his jump out quite easily,” Forster said.
Chapter And Verse failed in a brief campaign during the late autumn and winter but Forster is urging punters to ignore that form slump.
“It was a rushed prep,” she said.
“The carnival was off because of COVID-19 then they put it back on and although he didn’t run badly I pulled the pin and let him have a break to get ready for these races.”
Chapter And Verse is aiming for back-to-back wins in the George Moore (1200m) after beating Outback Barbie and Boomsara in a blanket finish last year.
Forster will again target the Magic Millions race day at the Gold Coast next month with the six-year-old.
The gelding won the Magic Millions QTIS Quality (1300m) last year and was fourth in the same race this year.
Foster is concerned Chapter And Verse may be weighted out of a third attempt at the Quality and will consider the Magic Millions Cup (1400m) as an alternative.
Apart from Chapter And Verse, Forster will be represented on Saturday by talented filly Eelloh in the Listed Mode Plate (1200m) and Apache Chase in the Winning Rupert Plate (1200m).
