One of racings most popular horses Chautauqua is set to begin his new life as a show horse.
Chautauqua arrived at Rob Gaylard’s Lara property on Wednesday where he will begin the transition into life as a show horse.
“He’s here, he’s settled in and he’s enjoying his new setting,” Gaylard told racing.com.
“I thought he might have been a bit more woolly than what he was but he’s actually nicely dappled.
“I’ll just give him a few days to acclimatise but I would say that on the weekend, when we take another horse to the equestrian centre, we might take him for a day out.
“He can just have an easy day on the float – he’s been used to trucks his whole life – and we might give him a lunge.”
Chautauqua will be given a few days to settle in before his new training will begin.
