Walking or Dancing is coming off a seven week freshen up since January when he won the $400,000 Magic Millions Cup in spectacular fashion. In between runs the classy gelding has trialled just once, finishing a close second at Gosford.
Trainer Brett Partelle believes the gelding is fit enough to run a race similar to last years Newmarket where he ran third behind Solo Flyer and Chasm.
“He is forward enough to run a very competitive race and obviously he will improve like any good horse getting over a bit of ground in their prep”.
This race looks to be a perfect platform for a Group 1 campaign ahead. After tomorrow’s Newmarket, Partelle is targeting the George Ryder and the Doncaster Mile whilst in Sydney.
Melbourne based Glen Boss has given Walking Or Dancing a vote of confidence by making the trip to Newcastle to partner him in tomorrow.
