Globetrotting champion So You Think heads   nominations for this year’s Group 1 Tatt’s Cox Plate (2040m), to be run at Moonee Valley on October 22.
Nominations were also taken today for the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m), the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) and the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m).
Melbourne Cup nominations will be taken on September 1.
So You Think, who has won the last two Cox Plates, is unlikely to make the trip but has been given an entry by trainer Aiden O’Brien, who has also entered multiple Group 1 winner Cape Blanco

Other international nominations of prominence include Melbourne Cup winner Americain, Breeders Cup Turf winner Dangerous Midge, Japan’s King Top Gun and Meiner Kitz, Germany’s Lucas Cranach, South African mare River Jetez, France’s Zack Hall and the Luca Cumani pair Never Forget and Sahara Sun.
Unusually, Hong Kong’s Xtension, long touted a Cox Plate horse, has not been entered.
On the local front early favourites Whobegotyou, Jimmy Choux, Sincero, Linton and My Kingdom of Fife have all been entered.
Last year’s second favourite More Joyous has also been entered.
Promising 3YOs Boys On Tour, Do You Think, Dowager Queen, Fontelina, Helmet, Mosheen, Pane in the Glass, Smart Missile and Zephyron are among entries.
