Five time Group 1 winner Boban has died overnight in a freak paddock accident which reports suggest he broke his leg. Boban had recently been retired from racing after bleeding for the second time in the Futurity Stakes.
Boban amassed close to $2.8million dollars in earnings with G1 wins in the Memsie Stakes, Doomben 10,000, Chipping Norton Stakes, Emirates Stakes and the Epsom Handicap.
