Cranbourne trainer's stable star Enver Jusufovic back and ready to go for 2025

Enver Jusufovic enjoyed one of the most satisfying days of his training career on Saturday and the popular horseman is optimistic the good times can roll on in 2025.

The Cranbourne trainer, who celebrated a Saturday dual-venue double with horses he bred, could not be happier with how his maiden Group 1 winner, Pinstriped, has returned.

The Street Boss gelding is advanced in his preparations for a campaign Jusufovic said will take in at least one of the 1400-metre Group 1s at Caulfield in February before a crack at the maiden running of the All-Star Mile at Group 1 level.

“He’s back in work, looks great and hopefully he’ll be ready for the Orr and the Futurity, or one of them at least, and then hopefully into the All-Star Mile,” Jusufovic said.

“All in all, he’s a lot heavier and I always thought as a six-year-old, that’s when Mr Brightside and Pride Of Jenni really hit their straps, and I think that is when we’ll see the best of him.”

The weight-for-age C F Orr Stakes and Futurity Stakes are at Caulfield, on February 9 and 23 respectively, with the $2.5 million All-Star Mile at Flemington on March 8.

Jusufovic is still buzzing after Mixxit rounded out his stellar day with a third-straight win in the 1600m benchmark 64 event at Cranbourne’s Saturday night meeting.

That four-year-old gelding is by Sioux Nation from the Twining mare Mixxer who is out of the first winner that Jusufovic ever trained, Athenae.

Mixxit’s win came five hours after the unbeaten Mytemptation completed a winning hat-trick of his own with a with a tough win at Moonee Valley.

A son of Squamosa, Mytemptation is out of the Snippetson mare My Ransom, who Jusufovic trained but was not able to get to the track but has proven a handy broodmare with her only other to race the Time For War mare Lindhout, who won a Leilani Series Final at Flemington.
