Connections will wait until the last minute to decide whether Champion mare Verry Elleegant will line-up in Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup at Flemington.
Trainer Chris Waller has stated the mare has recovered well from her placing in the Cox Plate however a decision on whether she will run in the 2021 Melbourne Cup until Saturday morning when final acceptances are due.
Verry Elleegant finished seventh in last years edition of the Melbourne Cup and is currently a $15 chance with Sportsbet in the race.
