Lovemetender has broken her maiden impressively fashion contesting the Heineken Plate (1100m) at Kensington on Wednesday.
The Anthony Cummings-trained filly led from start to finish, kicking away in the straight to win by 1.16 lengths.
The daughter of Testa Rossa had debuted in the Group Three Gimcrack Stakes and also ran in the Group Three Kindergarten Stakes last campaign.
Cummings said Lovemetenderย is bound to find her way into more black type races in the future.
“She’s a really nice filly,” he said.
“We gave her a chance in some better races last time through and I think just the time has been very helpful to her.
“She’s been mature, she’s come back much stronger this time.
“She had a really good trial the other day and she’s lived up to every bit of that.
“I think she makes her way to Stakes grade, I think that she is of Stakes quality.
“I thought she’d run really well today and make that claim for herself.
“Now we’ll just look at some of the better races coming up.”
Lovemetender was fast away from barrier three and was able to take the lead and cross to the rail with ease.
The three-year-old relaxed nicely under Glen Boss, with the field stacking up behind the filly as they turned into the home straight.
Glen Boss pushed the button and Lovemetender kicked away, keeping her rivals at bay over the final 100m to run home a comfortable winner.
Boss said the daughter of Testa Rossa had returned in good order and mirroring Cummings’ thoughts of her ability.
“You see these horses as young two-year-old’s that kind of look immature and they’re getting beaten three, four lengths in not bad races,” he said.
“You see them come back from the spell and you would’ve seen the little bit of maturity in her with the way she presented today.
“She trialled up here 10 days ago really well. She really gave me a proper feel in the trial.
“I said to Anthony (Cummings) that she’s destined to go on and win a nice little race this filly.
“It was really ideal for her to kick off her preparation and I’m sure you’ll see her in a Stakes race and she’ll go up a level.”
Lovemetender finished ahead of the even-money favourite Trifaccia and the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained All England.
