No decision has been made as yet for the Melbourne Cup top weight but the paddock is the “most likely” option.
International raiders Defiantly ($8), Trustyourinstinct ($9) and James J Braddock ($11) head the 2026 Melbourne Cup market with wagering suspended currently on Half Yours.
Half Yours was a $9 chance to defend the Melbourne Cup crown prior to the Caulfield Cup last Saturday.
The Victorian Jockeys’ Association on Sunday also confirmed Melbourne Cup-winning jockeys Mark Zahra and Jye McNeil “escaped any serious injury” from a tragic Caulfield Cup incident.
