Only 34 horses remain in contention for next weeks Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington.
The final field is set to be decided this Saturday after the running of the Archer Stakes which gives the winner ballot exempt entry into the race if they are included in the below acceptances.
Geelong Cup winner Emissary sits on the final spot in the race but connections have opted to bypass the Archer Stakes in hope the horse gains a spot in the Melbourne Cup field.
Final acceptors for the Cup will be taken at 4.30pm on Saturday and the barrier draw will be held after the last race on Derby Day.
