The feature International races which lead into the Melbourne Cup will be shown on free to air tv after a deal was struck between new host Ten and Sky Channel.
Ten and Sky Channel have struck a deal to show the major Melbourne Cup lead up races on Free To Air TV via Ten’s Bold channel with the first meeting having been shown on the weekend which saw super star mare Enable win the Eclipse Stakes.
“This is great news for fans of international racing to have live free-to-air coverage, and an exciting time at Ten Sport as we expand our horse racing portfolio,” said White.
“International horses that are aiming for a start in the Lexus Melbourne Cup will be on the world stage, so our viewers can follow the complete story as we build to ‘the race that stops a nation’.” Ten’s head of sport, Matt White said.

The 2019 Melbourne Cup will run on 5th November on Channel Ten which the network paid $100m for a five year deal.
