Group 1-winning jockey Michael Dee is in doubt for a packed weekend of racing after being dislodged during Friday morning jumpouts at Flemington.
The 27-year-old complained of shoulder pain following the incident and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital for scans.
Dee, currently second in the Victorian metropolitan premiership with 23 wins, was gearing up for one of his busiest weekends yet.
He had four rides booked at The Valley on Friday night and nine at Caulfield on Saturday, including key mounts Snitzanova in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) for Ciaron Maher and Berkeley Square in the Group 2 Zipping Classic (2400m) for Dan OโSullivan.
The fall has thrown his weekend plans into question, with trainers now anxiously awaiting updates on his condition. Deeโs strong season form has him trailing only Blake Shinn, who leads the premiership with 27 wins.
