Pride Of Jenni and Mr Brightside set for rematch in Feehan Stakes

Pride Of Jenni and Mr Brightside are on course for an exciting rematch in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on Friday night, provided the weather holds.

Trainer Ciaron Maher confirmed that Pride Of Jenni will run if the track remains dry, noting she is in excellent condition following her Monday workout.

Mr Brightside, trained by Lindsay Park, is also expected to compete, setting up another showdown between the two.

Maher is eager for the contest, saying, “It will be on… It is good, hopefully we can turn the tables, she’s certainly shown she’s still on the improve.”

Pride Of Jenni’s long-term goal is the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes in Sydney, with the Cox Plate also in consideration.

The Feehan Stakes promises to be one of the highlights of a packed Moonee Valley program, with plenty of anticipation for the clash between these star horses.
