“Because they don’t keep going when running at that speed. But, I also knew he was brilliant and he was very brilliant today.
“It would be difficult to take him back to Melbourne now for the Blue Diamond, then 2 weeks later bring him back here for the big race. So I will be picking the Golden Slipper for him.
“They don’t hold up forever, anyway you saw how outstanding he was in this.”
His rider, Hughie Bowman though he might get booked for speeding.
As he was returning to scale, Bowman was shaking his fist with glee.
He rode last year’s winner of the Gr 1 Golden Slipper Stakes and knows a thing or two about super fast juveniles.
