Today’s Day 1 of The Championships at Ranwick will proceed despite heavy rain in Sydney over the past 24 hours.

Racing NSW stewards released the news on X this morning saying the track despite being a Heavy 10 is safe to race on.

Randwick: Meeting will proceed on a Heavy 10. Section near the 1000m is consistent with the rest of the track and is suitable to race. @aus_turf_club
