Samantha Collet cleared of serious injuries

Good news … Samantha Collet has been cleared of any serious injury following her fall in the second race at Ipswich on Saturday.

Collett was transported to hospital but did not have to stay in hospital overnight as she was released once her scans came back clear.

β€œYeah, I’m ok … luckily. Just a bit battered and bruised,” confirmed Collett.

β€œI was pretty lucky to walk away with nothing broken or anything more serious. I seemed to roll pretty well and nobody else came down, which was the main thing as well,

β€œAt the hospital, once all my scans and X-Rays came back clear, I was out of there.

β€œI’m hoping to get a clearance this afternoon and get right back into action.”

As is often the case in these situations, two subsequent runners that Collett had been due to partner later that day won their respective races with Cocobrew Express, with Nikita Beriman deputising for Collett, taking out the Ipswich Mile … and At Witz End, with Cejay Graham in the saddle, taking out on of the day’s main feature races, the Eye Liner Stakes.
