Sunshine In Paris has had a rapid rise to prominence in her three-year-old season but after winning at the top-level last start, the filly will head to the paddock and be aimed at the Golden Eagle.
Annabel Neasham announced via Twitter that Sunshine In Paris will take a break.
“Our star Group 1-winning Surround Stakes winner, Sunshine In Paris, will head for a well-deserved break instead of contesting the Coolmore Classic,” Neasham said.
“She has remarkably gone from a maiden win in Canberra in November all the way through to a G1 victory in one preparation!”
With three wins and two placings in five starts, the filly won on debut over 1200 metres at Canberra to narrowly winning the Group 1 Surround Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on February 25.
Prior to Neasham’s announcement, Sunshine In Paris was rated a $15 chance for Saturday’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) where Annavisto and Zougotcha are $4.50 equal favourites.
The filly’s ultimate springtime target will be the $10 million Golden Eagle (1500m) in late October which was won by I Wish I Win in 2022.
