Tasracing’s boss Eliot Forbes has been appointed the new CEO of Racing Queensland.
The qualified vet, who has headed up Tasracing for about four years, will be in charge of all three racing codes and takes over at a time when greyhound racing is under immense scrutiny because of animal cruelty.
Racing Minister Grace Grace announced Dr Forbes’ appointment on Friday and says his experience includes holding senior racing positions in the United Arab Emirates racing industry.
