Trainer Lindsey Smith said his undefeated galloper Mystery Shot, is set to return to racing at Flemington on Saturday week in a Benchmark 84 over 1200 metres.

Mystery Shot, who is raced by Spicer Thoroughbreds as is Riding Wave, has had five starts for five wins and hasn’t raced since last July when he won at Caulfield.

Lindsey Smith said Mystery Shot had been nominated for the All-Star Mile at The Valley on March 13.

“That might be a mountain too high for him but he’s got a swag of owners and we’ll see what happens,” he said.

Smith said his gallant stayer Trap For Fools had run his last race for him after he had finished fourth in the Perth Cup.

“That’s my opinion he can’t win a race over here again but the owner might want to push on with him but it won’t be with me.”
