Trainer Francis Henri has confirmed the ownership group of Melbourne Cup winner Verry Elleegant have paid the late entry fee for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Last years Melbourne Cup winner was disappointing in her French debut finishing at the tail of the field but a much improved run in the G2 Qatar Prix Foy Stakes at Longchamp last weekend has given connections enough confidence to pay the late entry into arguably the best staying race in the world the 2400m Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on October 1st.
