One of the most expensive horses sold in recent years has gone unplaced on debut in a maiden at Terang on Friday.
Strategy was the $1.7million dollar 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale sale topper where he was purchased by trainer Lloyd Kennewell for Group One Bstock/Aquis/Ozzie Kheir out of the Yarraman Park draft.
Strategy who was well backed into $3.30 with Sportsbet is by I Am Invincible out of mare Oakleigh Girl who was placed in the Magic Millions Classic which makes him a half brother to Group One winner Miss Kournikova.
The expensive horse however did not quite live up to his breeding and price tag finishing fourth on debut in a Terang maiden where he weakened late.
