All eyes, well mainly Aussie and Hong Kong eyes were on The Grey Flash as he trialled at Sha Tin for the first time today.
And he, CLASSIQUE LEGEND (Not A Sigle Doubt-Pinocchio) as we know him, was good but not great.
In a field of six he came out last, settled back there but then started to muster.
He was cantering with 400m to go under jockey Vincent Ho, but when asked to accelerate by Ho’s strong hands and heals riding he couldn’t run down the two leaders, eventually running third.
He wasn’t beaten far and he did hit the line well.
So a pass mark. But not the big brute we saw win The Everest in October.
He will contest the upcoming Gr 1 Hong Kong International Sprint this month at Sha Tin.
