Yesterday’s impressive QEII Cup winner Werther could be targeted at this years Cox Plate with trainer John Moore saying he will pull the owners leg to allow him to take the horse to the race.
The QEII Cup is rated in the top ten races in the world racing calendar and his impressive win would see him be one of the main opponents for last years winner Winx who dominates the betting at $2.75 with Sportsbet.com.au
Werther has been moved into second favourite for the race at $9.00 with the two runners the only horses in single figure in the market.
