Hugh Bowman will replace Damien Oliver on Flying Artie
Craig Williams will ride Highlad in the Victoria Derby 2016, replacing Damien Oliver who has lost his bid to have a reckless riding suspension reduced.
Oliver had five rides booked at Saturday’s Derby meeting at Flemington pending the result of his appeal on Tuesday.
Hugh Bowman is his replacement in the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes on Flying Artie, the horse Oliver rode to win the Blue Sapphire Stakes, the race from which he was suspended.
