Yulong spends $1.2m on Autumn Angel

Group 1-winning mare Autumn Angel has been purchased by Yulong for $1.225 million through Inglis Digital on Tuesday, just days after her retirement due to a tendon injury.

Originally bought for $230,000 by Dalziel Racing, the daughter of The Autumn Sun was trained by Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman, winning four races, including the Group 1 ATC Australian Oaks (2400m). Autumn Angel earned over $1.1 million for her connections and had been targeting major races such as the Empire Rose Stakes before her injury.

Yulong, purchasing the mare under its Walnut Farm banner, has added her to their elite broodmare band, which includes Away Game, Duais, Espiona, Icebath, Imperatriz, and others.
