Australian trainer David Eustace has reached a new career milestone, landing his first treble in Hong Kong at Sha Tin on Sunday.
The trio of wins marks a significant step forward in Eustace’s burgeoning presence on the competitive Hong Kong racing circuit.
“I thought we were coming here with a strong team and probably our first three runners proved that with two winners and a second. This is a nice surprise. They’ve all raced well and consistent, so it’s very pleasing,” Eustace said.
Among the highlights was Light Years Charm’s win in the Class 3 TVB Tung Wah Charity Show Handicap.
The victory came under champion jockey Zac Purton, who continues to dominate the season.
Purton’s success aboard Light Years Charm pushed his season tally to 84 wins, further cementing his status at the top.
The treble adds weight to Eustace’s fast-growing reputation and reflects the stable’s strong form and smooth transition into the Hong Kong scene.
It’s a clear sign the former Australian co-trainer is settling in quickly and making his mark among Hong Kong’s elite.
