Interesting that 4 Fury And Gold (Bet Now: $7.00) comes back to 1800m from 2200m but he is a horse who will be strong late and is in winning form. Latest run was Dec 11 when giving them a start and a beating to win well. He’ll likely get back but he strong at the end and happy to be in his corner.

2 Smashing Express (Bet Now: $3.90) comes back to Happy Valley after recently racing at Sha Tin, his latest run being two weeks ago where he got back to near last and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up hood ground. Bowman on, maps well, rates highly.

5 Go Go Go (Bet Now: $7.00) will put himself on speed and give his all. That was the case over this trip at Sha Tin when attempting to lead throughout and just couldn’t quite see it through. If he gets front end control, he’ll be hard to get past and his best is good enough.

1 Charity Gain (Bet Now: $5.00) looks the good thing on the card. His last run came over 2000m at Sha Tin on Dec 22 where he got a fair way back but did work home with purpose late in the piece. Back to where he races best, I think he has a bit on this lot.

9 Me Time (Bet Now: $2.60) hasn’t raced since Dec 11 at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run but you had to like the way he finished his race off in defeat when drought. Purton on and with a more kind map, he will be around the mark.

4 Highland Rahy (Bet Now: $7.00) steps up to 1800m after running over the mile here three weeks back when on speed throughout and tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite see it through. Good racing style, I think he’s a must for exotics.

2 Happy Daily (Bet Now: $6.00) takes beating here. This guy hasn’t raced since Dec 11 at this track/distance when off the speed and kept chasing in a really good effort in defeat. If he’s within range, he has the finale to overhaul them.

5 Northern Beast (Bet Now: $15.00) saves his best for this track/distance and back to this trip, he is one of the leading contenders, with his latest run coming over 1800m here and tried hard when second. He should prove hard to beat against this lot.

1 Excel Wongchoy (Bet Now: $20.00) hasn’t raced since Dec 18 here at this track/distance when on speed and seemed to have his chance but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Tick over trial was good and he can run a much improved race against these.

They look as though they will go hard in front here and I think that will suit 1 Majestic Knight (Bet Now: $8.00). His recent runs have come over 1200m and while he has been good, he hasn’t really threatened. He will sit off the fast speed and be quite strong late. Good each way gamble.

6 Bottomuptogether (Bet Now: $2.00) likely leads this field up and will take running down. Latest run came over 1200m here when on speed and fought hard but was nabbed late. Back to 1000m I like, drawn inside rates highly.

9 Youthful Spirits (Bet Now: $6.50) is the 1000m specialist in the field and has a good racing style. He comes up to Class 2 from Class 3 grade, his latest run seeing him be on speed and only got saw off late. If he finds the front and rolls, he’ll take running down.

1 Happy United (Bet Now: $3.50) has a good record at this track/distance and back to 1000m from 1200m, he’s the one to beat. Latest run was over 1200m at Sha Tin a strong Class 3 and he was far from disgraced behind Full Credit. Back to this level, he takes beating against these.

6 Champion Method (Bet Now: $12.00) can bounce back. Latest run was on Dec 4 where he did a bit too much work in the run and just couldn’t quite finish the job. Freshened up and his tick over trial was sharp so keen to see how he goes.

4 Lean Master (Bet Now: $16.00) is a threat with his best. He ran here on Boxing Day where he got back off the speed and was never really a factor. With a better run in transit, I think he’s going well enough to take this out.

1 Smart Fighter (Bet Now: $4.60) has found winning form, a purple patch, and he can go on with it. He has won two on the bounce, both over this track/distance. Latest run was on Dec 4 where he got into a good spot just off the speed before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to win and win well. Tricky gate, but commands respect.

3 Telecom Dragon (Bet Now: $6.50) is a key threat. His latest run came on Dec 11 over this track/distance where he got into a lovely spot just off the speed and tried hard but had no answers late for impressive winner Beauty Light. Racing well and should take beating against these.

8 Silver Spurs (Bet Now: $9.00) is racing like a rise to 1200m will suit. His recent runs have come over 1000m here, the latest being on Dec 4 when back off the speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Sergeant Pepper. Tick over trial was good and is a knockout hope.

5 Super Charizzard (Bet Now: $5.50) is in a purple patch at the moment and seems a straight bat play here. Latest run came on Boxing Day at this track/distance in behind before angling into clear air and finished best to win and win well. Maps ideally and hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Northern Fire Ball (Bet Now: $2.30) is a leading contender off the back of a track/distance win on Boxing Day. He got front end control and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. He’s found winning form, he can go on with it.

4 Motoman (Bet Now: $34.00) will likely land on speed and run an honest race. His last couple of runs have come at Sha Tin and has tried hard but just failed to finish the job. Back to Happy Valley good racing style, he’ll run a much improved race.

6 Setanta (Bet Now: $11.00) has a tricky draw to overcome but he has returned really well for mine. Resumed over the mile here on Dec 11 when off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat behind I Can. Tick over trial was good…does have the wide gate to contend with but with luck, he’ll take beating.

2 Pray For Mir (Bet Now: $3.90) will land on the bunny and take running down, as seen on International Day at Sha Tin over 1800m when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when second to the in form Californiatotality. Back in trip I like and with a good racing style, takes beating.

10 Comet Splendido (Bet Now: $41.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over 1800m here last Wednesday night where he had a suck run in transit just off the speed and tried hard, but couldn’t quite see it through. Back in trip I find interesting…his best is good enough though, so include in multiples.

7 Denfield (Bet Now: $13.00) is a good each way gamble to close out the meeting. He ran over this track/distance on Dec 4 when too far back in the run despite drawing well but was good late in the piece behind Aurora Lady. If he can settle closer in the run, he has the finale to be quite dangerous.

1 Aurora Lady (Bet Now: $3.30) is humming. He has won two on the bounce, the latest being on Boxing Day at this track/distance when on speed and was trucking before being clicked up by Purton and he was dominant late in the piece. Hard to beat against these.

12 Harold Win (Bet Now: $17.00) has a tricky gate to overcome but he is a nice horse on the up. He sat on speed over 1200m at Sha Tin and was game in defeat but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Packing Bole. Has run well at the track/distance previously, will press forward and acquit himself well.
