As Woodbine starts to wind down it’s 2019 season, here is a set of tips and comments for this week’s midweek racing. Ric Chapman has been on fire recently.
Race 1 10:45am Synthetic 1400m
Off this inside draw BOKERMIN is expected to kick up and be in the fray. Form is good enough to consider in your exotic numbers. The money has already started coming in for MAYAN GHOST. He’s swift and has the top jock on. Following money at midweek Woodbine is always a good move. SECRET PATH has the wheels to come across from this gate, find a spot and plug on into 2nd.

Race 2 11:15am Synthetic 1700m
SNELL FLICKA mixes her form a bit but goes right to the bottom here in this grade and she is quick enough to get out and go and may take catching this time. She has no weight on her back. LIDDYUP has been backed overnight. She is hard to beat but she is being basically given away in this. Which worries me a bit. FLECK carries the top weight here but can finish her races off and this is very weak. Looked handy when placing in slightly better race last start.

Race 3 11:45am Synthetic 1300m
GOLDEN CARTER is expected to go hard from this favourable draw. Has been racing well and did lead all the way to win impressively here recently. Looks nicely placed. STOKES ran 2nd recently in a similar race and did so making good ground late. Is fit and ready. MOKSGMOL will be good odds but maybe have in your numbers as she is coming back a bit in class for this. Been mid pack recently.

Race 4 12:12pm Synthetic 1700m
I LOOK INCREDIBLE can muster some speed off the inside draw here and make a bit of a race with HMS PINAFORE who will start a very short-priced favourite. And rightly so as she is racing well in better grade of late. PRINCESS ROBBI is consistent enough at this level to warrant a thought too.

Race 5 12:45pm 2YO Synthetic 1700m
Eurico De Silva is the top rider here and he’s chosen to pilot a $15 chance in FLASHY PRINCESS. That might be a bit of a push. LA BONITA looks tough though. Ran a placing at this level on debut and did it the hard way. That experience should bring her along in leaps and bounds. TARA DAWN has been hitting the line well enough in better class races. Sure to drop back and rush late again.

Race 6 1:15pm Synthetic 2YO Allowance 1400m
GO FOR MO might be pretty handy but would need to be as this is a strong 2YO race. She has the big weight but can surge from this gate, lead and take catching. LA PAQUITA looks ready to battle. She has the form and the barrier and the rider. Adds up to having in your numbers. VANA GRAND may be back in the ruck from this gate and the fact she’s coming back in trip. Has the ability to run on though. Good race.
TIPS: (1) GO FOR MO, (3) La Paquita, (8) Vana Grand
Race 7 1:45pm Synthetic 1400m
The bottom 3 numbers appear the players here. They are YUM YUM who is in form and comes home hard; SAVEITFORARAINYDAY who just might get her namesake here as the rain is expected. Does have speed to offset this draw and MOONSTONE who looks to drop in, find a spot and come home hard late.
TIPS: (6) YUM YUM, (7) Saveitforarainyday, (8) Moonstone
Race 8 2;15pm Synthetic 1100m
If JUST BLING IT steps away here she could bounce straight onto the bunny and take catching. Has speed and the form to show up. RASPBERRY WILD has the good draw and indicated last start that she has finishing power at this level. Can place. SOUL PLANET has been backed overnight. That’s always a very good sign and her works have been excellent.
