Rain all set for Classic double

Dancing Rain is on target to attempt to complete the English/Irish Oaks double at the Curragh on Sunday week.

The last two winners of the Oaks at Epsom, Sariska and Snow Fairy, have gone on to supplement their gains in the Darley-sponsored Classic.

And now it is Dancing Rain’s turn to try to stamp her authority and make it a hat-trick of dual Oaks winners.

Dancing Rain, trained by William Haggas, made all the running in the hands of Irish jockey Johnny Murtagh to land something of a surprise at Epsom.

Similar things will be expected of the Danehill Dancer filly in Ireland, and Haggas reports her to be on course for the race.

β€œShe’s great and she’s going to run in the Irish Oaks, all being well,” the Newmarket handler said.
