A trainer in the US has been suspended for 18 months and fined $17,500 after two of his horses tested positive to Viagra.
Trainer Mike Mudaris will face a 18 month suspension after two of his horses that ran at a Del Mar summer meeting last year returned positives to prohibited substance sildenafil which is better known as Viagra.
It is reported that Mudaris will appeal the penalties as he did not administer the substance to either horse and that it was given by an employee as he was not present at the racecourse on the day.
The suspension is scheduled to begin on October 20th and end on April 20th, 2019.
