Coolmore Stud in NSW will stand the only ever unbeaten American Triple crown champion in JUSTIFY (Scat Daddy – Stage Magic) this year but they may well have an eye out for his little bro now too.
That’s because, as you can see in the video, he just ploughed through the mud and slop at Keeneland in Kentucky, over 1400m running 1:22:62, winning by nearly 15 lengths and jumping puddles along the way in doing so.
His name is STAGE RAIDER (Pioneer of the Nile – Stage Magic) and his acceleration once they turned for home was that of a star racehorse.
He is a 3YO and to be 100% accurate, both he and Justify share the same mother. Their dads are different.
Chad Brown trains this bloke who is still a colt and this was his 2nd race start.
The improvement he showed, despite still being very green, between his debut 2nd at Gulfstream Park and now, has been breathtaking.
Also in the field here was a colt named HARVARD. He is the full-brother to another Coolmore stallion in CLASSIC EMPIRE.
Today, he ran 2nd to Stage Raider, a name we need to look out for.
