Albadr (near) was initially placed second behind Loving Glance
Racing officials at Kempton will have some explaining to do after another photo-finish blunder on Tuesday.
Winner of the race, Albadr, had initially been placed in second behind favourite Loving Glance before the provisional result was overturned.
Last year Kempton officials came under fire for making a similar error after an odds-on favourite was mistakenly deemed the runner-up with the error only being noticed after correct weight had been given.
Thankfully the verification procedures put in place after last year’s error saw the chief steward pick up on the mistake before the official result was declared.
