Section 15 of General Terms and Conditions

15 Extra Head

15.1 The Extra Head product is only available for use on selected Australian thoroughbred and harness racing, after the later of:

(a) 9:30am (local track time for that days’ racing); or

(b) following confirmation of final scratchings.

15.2 If the Extra Head product is made available for use in conjunction with your eligible Bet, then:

(a) you will see the Extra Head icon underneath or beside your selection in your ‘Quick Slip’ on the Betting Platform;

(b) If you wish to use the Extra Head product in connection with your Bet, you must click on the Extra Head button/icon in order to activate the Extra Head product and ensure that the Extra Head button/icon is selected when proceeding to place your Bet (‘Extra Head Request’);

(c) Once your Extra Head Request is made and applied to your Bet, if your selection finishes second by less than or equal to the Extra Head margin of 0.1 of a length according to the official race results as recorded at https://www.racingaustralia.horse/home.aspx, NEDS will award you an Extra Head (0.2 lengths), and your Bet will be paid out as a winning bet;

(d) If your selection finishes equal first (in a dead heat), your Bet will be paid out as a winning bet;

(e) If your selection wins the race, your Extra Head use will not be refunded.

15.3 The maximum eligible Bet that can be used with the Extra Head product is $200.00, unless otherwise offered or agreed to by NEDS.

15.4 The Extra Head product will not be deemed to have been accepted by NEDS and applied to your Bet until you receive confirmation in your Bet Statement.

15.5 NEDS may, in its absolute discretion, make the Extra Head product available to eligible Customers for use in selected markets, events or types of Bets.

15.6 The Extra Head product is not available for use in conjunction with any other Promotional Offer or Promotional Tool.

15.7 The Extra Head product is only available for use once per race and only with single fixed ‘win’ only Bets. ‘Win’ portion of each-way Bets are not eligible for use with the Extra Head product.

15.8 The Extra Head product is not available for use on ‘Multi-Bets’, ‘Exotic Bets’ or ‘Future Bets’ as defined in the NEDS Betting Rules.

15.9 NEDS reserves the right to change, suspend or remove the availability of Extra Head at any time.

15.10 If there is a time out or other intermittent failure of your connection to the NEDS Betting Platform between the time you submit an Extra Head Request until when you receive confirmation that the Extra Head Request has been accepted or rejected (‘Pending Request’), you may not be able to use the Extra Head product on another Bet until such confirmation of the Pending Request is displayed in your Bet Statement.

15.11 Each eligible Customer will be allocated a fixed number of times they can use the Extra Head product in each 24 hour period at NEDS sole and absolute discretion. Any allocated quota of uses of the Extra Head product will reset at midnight (AEST) each day and any unused quota for that day will expire and will not roll-over to the next day.

15.12 Scratchings

(a) If the Extra Head product is used to place a Bet on a runner which is subsequently scratched, your Bet will be refunded in accordance with the scratching rules contained in the NEDS Betting Rules, and your Extra Head product allocation for that day may be used again on another race.

(b) Your Extra Head product allocation should reappear in your Account within 1 (one) hour of the scratching. If it has not been reallocated within this time frame, contact Customer Support for assistance.

15.13 Abandoned Races

(a) If the Extra Head product is used to place a Bet on a runner in a race which is subsequently abandoned, then your Bet will be refunded as per NEDS Betting Rules and your Extra Head product allocation for that day may be used again on another race.

(b) Your Extra Head product allocation should reappear in your Account within 1 (one) hour of the race being abandoned. If it has not been reallocated within this time frame, contact Customer Support for assistance.

15.14 NEDS reserves the right to void any Bets placed using the Extra Head product if there has been an obvious and manifest error by NEDS and/or a breach of any of the Terms and Conditions by the Customer.
