If fantasty leagues/sports is for you, then the best website for that, by some distance, is Draftstars, leading the way in Australia for those that prefer fantasy leagues/sports/competitions.
Draftstars is all about Daily Fantasy Sports, which is a sports fantasy game where a fee is paid my members to join a competition, in which they build/draft a team under a salary cap. This sort of comp is very popular for both the AFL and NRL, where prizemoney can reach upwards of $100,000, hence why it’s very popular.
2020 saw Draftstars introduce racing competitions and it’s been a great success, with daily competitions across all three codes with decent prizemoney on offer, which is quite impressive given some of the competitions are available on some pretty low meetings, not just metro programs.
Signing up to Draftstars can be quite tricky, mainly that it can be time consuming to verify the account, which is a touch disappointing given pretty much everywhere else, verifying is a simple, easy and fast process. The other knock is that there are quite limited payment methods, which can be frustrating for those wanting to deposit quickly.
But the website itself and what it offers is very strong. You can play competitions for free, or potentially pay $50 to join a comp, with good prizemoney available. There are no commitments needed for competitions, with daily competitions running, no matter what your choice of sport is.
The customer service could be a lot better. They only have an online form to fill out, where reply time can take up to four hours, and considering other sites have live chat, phone numbers and more, this side of things for Draftstars is quite poor and something they need to improve big time.
That said, their app is very sharp. It’s free to download and is more slick than the website, with easier panels to navigate and find what you’re looking for. In saying that, the website is sharp, and it’s fast, with no lag time, so they get a big tick in that regard.
They have over 300,000 players from across the planet and are fast becoming the leading website in the world when it comes to fantasy sports/leagues/comps, with a host of options, including the likes of head to heads, rapid fire and many more, so if this sort of thing is for you, it’s highly recommended.
Should I Bet with Draftstars?
Overall Draftstars really does not offer punters anything more than bookies such as Neds / Ladbrokes or betr who we would definitely recommend punters bet with instead but if you are looking for a new bookie we would recommend swiftbet, Palmerbet or PlayUp.
