A bumper seven race card has been set down for Wyong on Wednesday for Magic Millions Day. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (13:45) Mainstream Finance (bm68) 1600m
7 Dodecanese (Bet Now: $1.85) on top in what looks a tricky race to start the meeting. Was with this guy last Monday at Tuncurry. Looked the winner when he got the split but was nabbed near the peg. This isn’t a strong race as a whole and he gets a significant jockey upgrade.
2 Do This All Day (Bet Now: $5.00) is second up and should improve big time. Resumed at Warwick Farm where he was unwanted in betting and while he was never really a threat, his finale was more than sound behind Obvious Step. Fitter and up to the mile, back big time in depth, he appeals.
5 Highjacker (Bet Now: $8.00) can be a sharp improver here. He was too bad to be true first up over 1350m when tailed off behind Oxford Tycoon. He has since had a solid trial, tinkering with the head gear and his best is good enough to be competitive.
Race 2. (14:20) Mainstream Taxation (bm64) 2100m
5 Reposition (Bet Now: $11.00) is flying and deserves a win. Game effort two back in the Taree Cup behind Charmmebaby, who has since won a Stakes race in Brisbane. Then was wide no cover last Monday in the Tuncurry Cup and was only tiring late. If he’s got petrol in the tank, he’s the one to beat.
2 Apache Belle (Bet Now: $3.70) is on the seven day back up after racing last Wednesday at Warwick Farm. She got back in the run but peeled wider for clear air and found the line nicely when second to Black Queen. That form does read quite well for this.
6 Tudor Prince (Bet Now: $8.00) is racing in solid form. Far from disgraced two back in the Queanbeyan Cup and was much the same at Warwick Farm last start. Doubt he wins but one for multiples.
Race 3. (14:55) M. M. 2022 Gold Coast Sale Mdn 1350m
Like 3 El Nido (Bet Now: $2.90) a lot here. Five year old mare that debuted over 1100m at this track and didn’t get the rub of the green at any stage in the run when an unlucky fourth. Think the rise to 1350m looks ideal, draws out so clear air from the outset and should be strong late.
5 Auzstar (Bet Now: $2.90) is the interesting one. Market was heavily with him at Newcastle last time but after leading, he found nothing in the straight and was terrible. Running out of chances but a soft gate and a weak field helps his cause.
6 Diorissima (Bet Now: $5.50) is capable but she has had a number of chances to break the maiden tag. Had a suck run near the speed at Hawkesbury last time out and just whacked away when fourth. Not sure I could back her to win, but she’s a must for exotics.
Race 4. (15:30) Magic Millions Wyong 3yo & 4yo 1200m
Contender or pretender time for 3 Wisdom Of Water (Bet Now: $3.60). Bounced back to positive form two back in The Warra behind Eleven Eleven. Then went to Rosehill and was solid late behind Mr Mosaic. This looks his race and surprised he isn’t favourite.
2 Tanker (Bet Now: $9.00) looked after his two year old season but the Maher/Eustace camp have him back on track. Dominant win at Bendigo two back before a solid third at Sandown behind the in form Eluding. Interesting he comes back to 1200m but should be strong late.
5 Impact Star (Bet Now: $67.00) is one I could entertain for wider multiples. Wide no cover two back so a clear forgive there. Last start he was far from disgraced behind Conscript, who came out and won at Canterbury, so the form has been ticked off. Not sure he’s good enough to win but a first four threat.
Race 5. (16:05) Exalted Constructions Hcp (c1) 1600m
2 Rock The Bells (Bet Now: $3.60) is the safe play here. Team Freedman trained gelding that doesn’t have the best of winning strike rates but is rarely far away from the action, which was the case first up at Newcastle when third to a quality animal, Harvey’s Way. That form reads super for this.
7 King Of Spades (Bet Now: $3.10) is starting to become costly from a punters perspective but he does find a really winnable race here. Ran on a heavy track at Hawkesbury last time and battled on okay when fourth to Borsalina. Firmer footing with a jockey upgrade, he can bounce back, but is running out of chances.
8 Rockover (Bet Now: $8.00) should land in a plum spot from the draw. Attempted to lead throughout over 1850m at Newcastle just under two weeks ago but couldn’t handle the heat applied and dropped out behind Classic Train. If he leads and gets control, he can run a much improved race.
Race 6. (16:40) Magic Millions 2yo Classic 1100m
2 Hell I Am (Bet Now: $3.90) on top in what looks to be, on paper, a weak edition of this race. This colt debuts for the very much in form John O’Shea camp off the back of what looked a strong trial effort at Canterbury where he moved nicely. Good gate with Bowman on, he’ll do me here.
1 Command Approved (Bet Now: $3.70) is the pick of the raced brigade. Short odds when debuting at Canberra and despite being out of petrol tickets late, he was too good. Horror gate to overcome but has the early speed and in the right camp.
7 Wealthy Investor (Bet Now: $17.00) is in with a shout here. The bias was in his corner on debut at Rosehill but still, he had to take advantage of it and did when third to Lady Laguna. That form clearly reads well for this.
Race 7. (17:15) Wyong Next Meeting 8/1 (bm64) 1100m
Good test here for young Jackson Searle aboard 5 Tudor Music (Bet Now: $3.20) in what would be one of his first tastes on a feature race day. This mare ran on Gong Day at Kembla and didn’t have the best of luck in the straight behind Dragonstone. She’s capable when right and should get a lovely run from the draw.
4 Longbottom (Bet Now: $5.00) has been somewhat disappointing in recent times but I’m saying that, this is one of the easier races she has contested in a long time. Wet track wasn’t to her liking at Taree last time so just pen that run. Tick over trial was good and her best is clearly good enough.
9 Lashoni (Bet Now: $10.00) is a knockout chance. This mare was a proven metro performer when Tony Gollan had her. Wheels have fallen off somewhat since but her last start effort here behind Glittery was encouraging, enough to suggest she can’t be dismissed here.
