Murray Bridge will play host to a ten race program on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (11:28) Magic Millions 2Yo 1200m
7 Klabel (Bet Now: $2.70) is the one I want to be with. On debut for Team Jolly after just one trial this time in, which came on the Poly here last week where he led throughout and what I liked with him is that when he was asked for an effort, the response was instant and he spanked them. I think he moves well and is good enough to take this out.
1 Test The Law (Bet Now: $5.00) is a Matty Seyers trained gelding that is hard fit. Both runs this time in have come at this track, bolting up fresh over 1000m before stepping up to 1200m where he had a suck run behind the speed and loomed to win but couldn’t quite get there when third to Zou Sensation. The hard race fitness/experience keeps him in the mix as a leading contender.
12 Prance N Dance (Bet Now: $7.00) has to be a query at a strong 1200m, but she is hard fit and racing well. Ran last Saturday over 1100m at Morphettville and was solid late when third. The claim and soft gate should ensure 1200m is okay and is one to include for wider multiples.
Race 2. (12:02) Kimbolton Wines (Bm82) 1000m
This looks a target race to get 5 Litchfield County (Bet Now: $4.00) to win first up. Formerly with the Price/Kent camp, he now finds himself with Will Clarken and we keep saying that he is a gun with tried horses. A trial and two solid jumpouts suggest fitness won’t be an issue for his return.
2 Alleboom (Bet Now: $3.50) is getting close to D-Day. Team Jolly trained gelding that was just plain fresh on the Parks track before racing here two weeks ago where he sat on speed and fought on pretty well when third to Calypso Reign. Third up, hard fit now, his best is clearly good enough.
3 Great Leveller (Bet Now: $3.80) is a Jon O’Connor trained gelding that resumes. He saves his best for the short course and has a good record on the track. He hasn’t raced since March 14 when a close up fifth at Morphettville behind Great Diviner after doing work on speed. Given a good break and his trial here last week was a good piece of work, so will be interesting to see what the market does.
Race 3. (12:37) Gipsie Jack Wines (Bm78) 1800m
6 Ichibansan (Bet Now: $6.50) is suited back to 1800m. He ran over 2000m two weeks ago here where he was near the speed throughout and tried hard when let down by Stubby but couldn’t quite see the trip out. I reckon back in trip helps his cause and should prove hard to beat against this lot.
4 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now: $8.00) is unknown at the trip but he has home track advantage and is flying for Michael Hickmott. He ran over the mile last Saturday at Morphettville and worked to the line with real purpose late in the piece behind Noname Lane. If the trip is okay, which I think it will be, he’s a key threat.
8 All Hard Wood (Bet Now: $51.00) deserves another chance. Specked him at big odds last Saturday at Morphettville but just found the track too wet when down the track behind Mr Pickwick. Back on firmer footing this time around and off the run prior behind Unlaced, he’ll be around the mark.
Race 4. (13:12) Beyond Ink (Bm60) 1400m
11 Headphones (Bet Now: $6.00) has a good record at the track and she’s nearing a win. Was on her at the big odds two weeks ago here and I thought she was going get there when she loomed, but just found Big Sue too tough, just. She’s bursting to win a race and I think she gets a great chance.
1 So Say Angel (Bet Now: $3.20) is an honest mare for Ryan Balfour that has been around the mark this time in without winning. He ran over 1200m here a fortnight back where she was just off the speed and kept chasing when third to Lumber Punk. Unknown at 1400m but is racing like it will suit.
7 Canidae (Bet Now: $9.00) is a veteran but he’s maintaining a healthy zest for racing. Ran over this track/distance two weeks back where he got back to near last in the run but sliced his way through the field and finished off hard late when a close up third to Big Sue. Hard to back to win at Saturday metro level, but one for exotics.
Race 5. (13:47) Festival Hire (Bm60) 1400m
8 Pivotal Force (Bet Now: $15.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He was on the seven day back up when winning at Strathalbyn at the midweeks last time. He was there to be run down but he found under Vorster, fended them off and was too good. 1400m, I think, will be okay, and he finds a winnable race.
3 Soweto Haze (Bet Now: $5.00) brings some decent form from Victoria for Nathan Hobson and is a key threat. He is on the quick back up after racing at Donald on Sunday where he was near the speed throughout and battled away really well when close up behind Dothraki. I think that reads well for a moderate 60.
1 Yuri Royale (Bet Now: $3.90) is a Team Jolly trained gelding that resumes. This guy hasn’t raced since Feb 26 at Morphettville when producing an end of prep run when down the track behind Morty. He’s better suited over further but can sprint well fresh and has somewhat of a class edge.
Race 6. (14:27) Tab 3Yo 1200m
1 Karacasu (Bet Now: $1.55) looks to have a bit on these re class, and with A1 form, he’s clearly the one to beat. Spanked them two back at this track/distance before going to the Creswick at Flemington and was very good in defeat when third to Passive Aggressive. That form is strong and back to this sort of race, I think it’ll be a case of good luck beating him.
6 Legless Lady (Bet Now: $7.50) has found a purple patch and has been holding it. Dominant and arrogant maiden win two back on the Parks track at Morphettville before racing on the course proper there last Saturday where she really attacked the line from off the pace to win impressively. She runs well again.
3 Belle Of Yorkes (Bet Now: $81.00) is a Jon O’Connor trained filly that resumes. She hasn’t raced since April 10 over 2100m at Gawler where she was on trial for a crack at the SA Oaks but failed to run the trip out. Has a good record at the track and the trial to get ready was a nice piece of work. First four contender.
Race 7. (15:07) Northpoint Murraylands (Bm68) 1200m
9 Pimm’s Party (Bet Now: $3.60) on top for me. Macdonald/Gluyas trained mare that ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where she got a fair way back in the run and was never a threat but was good late in the piece behind Montign. She’s bursting to win a race. Just needs to settle closer in the run.
10 Zoulah (Bet Now: $4.80) looks to be in for a really good prep. Several weeks between runs for Will Clarken since resuming over 1000m on the Parks track where she got back to near last in the run and was very good late behind Star Hills, who ran very well two weeks ago. Like that form line for this and up to 1200m should be ideal.
8 Montepulciano (Bet Now: $20.00) has an awful winning strike rate, but he has a decent engine under the hood. Hasn’t raced since March 5 over 1800m here when down the track and producing an end of prep run behind the then in form Sanblas. He can sprint well fresh and should be strong at the end.
Race 8. (15:42) Dutton's Easy To Do Bus.-Bm68 2500m
12 Perfect Illusion (Bet Now: $5.00) is crying out for more ground and he gets that here. He was specked at a price when racing over 2000m here two weeks ago and was quite good from the back when third to Aussie Sojourn. Has won up to 2414m and hard fit, I think he’ll take beating here.
8 Ourkhani (Bet Now: $20.00) has a good record at Murray Bridge and like that he is on the seven day back up. Ran over 2500m at Morphettville last Saturday where he just didn’t really get a chance to build into his work, getting stuck nearer the inside, which is a big negative given the horse needs clear air to build the revs. If that eventuates here, he can win.
13 Vino Decasa Nostra (Bet Now: $21.00) is one I could entertain for wider multiples. Impressive winner over 2200m two back at Balaklava before going back in trip to 2000m here two weeks back and battled away pretty well in defeat behind Aussie Sojourn. I think the rise up in trip helps and is a first four threat.
Race 9. (16:22) Carlton Draught (Bm68) 1600m
10 Set To Prophet (Bet Now: $3.80) is a Team Freedman trained three year old that looks well placed in a race like this. Blinkers were put on him last start at Donald and it had the desired effect when an impressive winner from off the speed. That was at 1350m and he hit the line like a mile suits, which he gets here. Hard to beat.
7 Unlaced (Bet Now: $4.20) will land on speed and give cheek. Got the track pattern in her corner three weeks back on the Parks track, leading throughout and found plenty under pressure to get the job done. This is clearly a harder assignment, but she has a good racing style and stable is just starting to find form.
15 Chromatica (Bet Now: $19.00) can be an improver on her home track for Michael Hickmott. She ran behind stablemate Unlaced in that race mentioned above where she was wide throughout and on that day, the inside was hot, so be forgiving. Down in the weights, she’ll run well.
Race 10. (17:00) Lake Breeze Wines (Bm60) 1000m
7 Sitting Bull (Bet Now: $8.00) has found winning form and I think he can hold it for local trainer Sam Burford. Just missed out on the win two back at Mount Gambier before going to Strathalbyn where he was bolting in the run. Just a matter of getting clear air and once he got it, away he went. On the home track, with the claim, off a good speed, he’ll do me in the get out.
4 Dauntin Magic (Bet Now: $8.50) deserves another chance. David Jolly trained gelding that resunmed at this track/distance just over two weeks ago and was a bit on the plain side I thought after getting every chance behind stablemate Mr Have A Chat. Fitter, and perhaps with a more conservative steer, you’ll see a better effort.
5 Grand Host (Bet Now: $26.00) is hard to beat. Was 1200m back to 1000m three weeks back when racing on the Parks track and was very good late from off the speed behind Fighting McLaren. I think getting to the bigger track is a big tick and if he’s within range, he can certainly take this out.
