Murray Bridge is where SA racing heads to this Saturday, with nine races set down. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

I can smell a set up here for 2 Karaka Kiwi (Bet Now: $15.00), a Swiss Ace three year old for local trainer Jordan Frew that is on debut and start one on the home track, I think he’ll only run well. Looked good in a jumpout before a trial at Morphettville and he looked to be jogging on the line when fourth. Watch the market, but happy to speck him each way.

I’m respecting 3 Kusu (Bet Now: $1.65). This three year old trialled up super prior to resuming on the Parks four three weeks ago where he worked home strongly from off the speed when second to a well performed Victorian galloper, Eros. Fitter, on a bigger track, he’s hard to beat here.

1 Declared (Bet Now: $7.00) is a son of Churchill for David Jolly that resumes. This guy hasn’t raced since his debut back in February at Morphettville Parks when fourth to Prance N Dance, working home okay without threatening. Trialled well enough to my eye and stable finds Vorster.

7 Bear Arms (Bet Now: $12.00) will need luck with her racing pattern but she’s worth an each way bet for mine with a rise in trip. Ran over 2000m last Saturday on a testing track at Morphettville and worked home well late without threatening behind Ichibansan. Proven at 2500m and if she can settle closer from the inside gate, I think she’ll only run well in a winnable race.

1 Lord Bouzeron (Bet Now: $4.00) has taken a while to find his feet and find winning form under Michael Hickmott but the win came a fortnight back here, leading throughout and what I liked was that he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and win. He’ll land near the front and give a bold sight.

5 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now: $14.00) is one I could entertain for wider multiples. She put together a couple of strong wins on the bounce prior to racing last Saturday when back in trip at Morphettville and just lacked the change up speed behind Ichibansan. Back up in trip, down in the weights, she’s a knockout hope.

9 Ziggi Rocks (Bet Now: $15.00) has done a super job since joining Garret Lynch and I think he can win again. He won over this trip last Saturday at Morphettville, sprouting wings late to get the win in the final couple of strides. Hard to knock the way he’s racing and this is quite a winnable race for him. Hard to beat.

1 Yuri Royale (Bet Now: $3.20) has come back in great order and is one of the main chances for Team Jolly. Lovely ride from Toeroek saw him win two weeks ago at this track/distance, wearing down and in form Big Sue to win narrowly but impressively. He was only third up there, so you’d like to think there is improvement to come.

4 Wicked Addiction (Bet Now: $21.00) comes here with fresh legs for Kym Healy, several weeks between runs since racing at Darwin during the Cup Carnival up there when on speed over 2050m and stuck to the task pretty well when second to Gone Bye. Like him back to the mile and is a first four contender.

7 Night Of Delight (Bet Now: $3.00) on top. Tom Dabernig trains this mare, who resumed over 975m at Swan Hill where she had the suck run behind the speed before Holland found clear air and she went through her gears nicely late to win impressively. Stable rarely travel but when they do, they command respect, and she’s got good upside to come.

8 Desired (Bet Now: $7.50) looks one of the hardest to beat for Team McEvoy. She ran on the Synthetic at Ballarat last time and worked home strongly from off the speed, just missing out on the win when second to Kosowski. Back onto the turf and a track the stable loves to race on, she’s got the form around her to take this out.

9 Manage The Cycle (Bet Now: $9.50) is knocking on the door to win one for John Macmillan. Looked like it would come when racing here last time out but had to settle for a narrow second to Madam Furphy. Gets a good weight pull on that horse here and maps ideally from the gate.

11 My Khalifa (Bet Now: $5.00) is hard to beat. Last few runs have come over 1400m, two of those being here. Latest start was here two weeks ago and he made an absolute mess of them, which followed an unlucky effort on the Parks track. Off last start, he has to be one of the hardest to beat.

Very interesting runner is 1 Eluding (Bet Now: $3.50), who resumes for Team McEvoy. He hasn’t raced since March 9 at Sandown when just off the speed and battled on pretty well in defeat when fourth to The Garden. Couple of solid jumpouts to get ready and 1400m first up, he’s ready to rock I’d suggest. Watch the market.

8 Shock Alert (Bet Now: $20.00) is one for multiples. Raced in a solid 76 here two weeks back where he was on speed throughout and battled away okay in defeat behind dominant winner and an in form mare, So Say Angel. Not sure he’s sharp enough to win, but can pinch a first four spot.

8 Stadium Of Light (Bet Now: $4.00) has no idea what he is doing but clearly he has an engine under the hood. He ran over the mile last Saturday at Morphettville where he was back and held up, but really liked the way he balanced up late when fourth to Ziggi Rocks. If he puts it all together, I think he wins.

1 Montepulciano (Bet Now: $6.00) is an interesting runner. I was keen on him at Morphettville last time out but after sitting off the speed and presented to win, but he didn’t fire and was quite on the plain side behind Melody Man. Back to 1400m and back in grade/depth, he’s getting towards D-Day surely.

13 Headphones (Bet Now: $11.00) has home track advantage and is absolutely bursting to win a race. For a few strides, it looked like it would come here two weeks ago but she had no answers late for the finale produced by My Khalifa. Has only won the one race, but she’s been racing super without winning. That can change here.

9 Extra Mile (Bet Now: $9.00) looks ready to win and gets a great chance here. He ran at this track/distance two weeks ago where he settled back in the run but was presented clear air and drove hard late to just miss out on the win when a narrow third to Arkham Knight. The blinkers back on seemed to switch him on and with a bit of juice in the track, he’s hard to beat.

7 Aadelad (Bet Now: $8.00) has done little wrong in three runs this time in for the Francis/Kent camp. He ran a very narrow fourth to Arkham Knight a fortnight back, sitting outside the speed and fought hard, but couldn’t quite get there in a blanket finish. He’s come back really well and commands respect.

The good tempo will suit 6 Arkham Knight (Bet Now: $11.00), who won the race mentioned above. He was wide with cover before being presented wider and in a driving go, he finished best to win and win nicely. He maps to do no work again and be strong at the end. Definite winning chance.

13 Intrepid Eagle (Bet Now: $2.60) is hard to beat for Team McEvoy. Debuted at this track/distance a fortnight back where he was on speed throughout and looked to be going quite easily before being clicked up and he held a safe winning margin to the line. Harder here, but stable loves this track and he’s got a good racing style.

3 Classy Kenny (Bet Now: $9.00) is flying for the Hickmott/Riggs camp and I think he can take this out. Solid third to Short Stories two back on the Parks track before going here two weeks ago and I think he would have just about won had he got a clear path in the straight when a close up fifth to Samesyn. Clear air, I think he can take this out.

4 Fox Gem (Bet Now: $11.00) is capable with his best. Did plenty wrong but was very good against the pattern when winning two back at Balaklava. He then ran here two weeks back and lost the plot, never a factor behind Samesyn. Off the Balaklava effort, he can win, and Pannell sticks.

I’ll take a punt on 3 Disco Tilmorn (Bet Now: $12.00), who is second up here Darryl Dodson. This mare hadn’t raced since May 4 when at the end of a long prep and looking for the paddock behind Bolt By. but resumed at Donald on Tuesday and was very good late when second. Whether that was a prep run for this, not sure, but she has the quality factor IMO to beat these.

9 Fields Of Athenry (Bet Now: $9.00) is working up to a win for David Jolly. Ran over this track/distance a fortnight back and worked home with real purpose from the back, just missing out on the win when second to Samesyn. The run prior at Balaklava was good so she’s working up to something and she gets a great chance here.

Best version of 13 Princess Raffles (Bet Now: $17.00) is certainly capable. This mare was 5/6 weeks between runs when racing at Balaklava at the midweeks last Wednesday where she got back to near last in the run and was never a factor, but was solid late. Fitter, a fast run 1200m, she’ll launch late.

BEST BET: Race Eight Number 13 Intrepid Eagle

NEXT BEST: Race Four Number 7 Night Of Delight

LONG SHOT: Race One Number 2 Karaka Kiwi
