The first of tonight’s group races at Moonee Valley racecourse is the 2010 JRA Cup over 2040m, the race will be contested by 13 runners.
Last years race proved to be a great form line for the 2010 Melbourne Cup with the winner of the race Alcopop starting as the Cup favourite at Shocking the cup winner also coming out of the race.
Current fixed odds suggests there are 2 equal favourite for the race which are Precedence and Linton both currently at $3.50 fixed on TAB’s website, both horses look like they will be hard to beat although at the odds we will be looking to select something around these two runners. We are going with last years winner Alcopop, we think he can bounce back from his last start in SA and the extra distance will suit.
