A seven race program has been set down for Warwick Farm on Tuesday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (14:05) ROSS BARRY THORNTON PLATE 1100m
The scratchings have ensured this race, as a whole, is thin. 13 Jenga (Bet Now: $1.65) does look the obvious now, but could I take $1.60? No way. She is on top though, because she did look sharp in winning a recent Rosehill trial, leading throughout and was strong through the line. Should land near the front and prove hard to beat.
15 Spirituality (Bet Now: $7.00) is a Ryan/Alexiou trained filly resuming. She has some decent form around her so think if you were to have a bet, I’d be backing her each way if Jenga remains as short as she is. This girl looked to trial up well enough at Rosehill and potentially can stalk Jenga in the run.
Not sure 8 Day Performer (Bet Now: $10.00) wins but she can sneak a first four spot. Has been freshened up since her debut at Nowra when on speed and fighting on strongly when bloused late by Zouly, who does have okay form around it. Harder here, but draws well and should get a decent run near the speed.
Race 2. (14:40) SKY RACING ACTIVE HANDICAP 1400m
This is a 72 for the Mares, but gee it’s a race full of winning chances and depth. 4 Joliette (Bet Now: $8.50) gets the Blinkers on first time and that could be the little spark she needs to breakthrough. Has been racing well without winning recently, her latest effort being a solid third to the very much in form Strange Charm. J Mac takes over and she can easily win this.
2 Margie Bee (Bet Now: $5.00) is flying for Kristen Buchanan and the map does look very kind for her. Led throughout to win here last time and she showed really good ticker late when challenged to fight back and fend them off. Harder here, but looks the leader and will give a great sight.
6 Saas Free (Bet Now: $13.00) has the solid Saturday form so think she has to be respected. Hasn’t won in a little while but the form around her does read well, with her latest effort being behind the in form Tycoonist. Knockout chance back to this level.
Race 3. (15:15) RANVET HANDICAP 1200m
Landed with 2 Escaped (Bet Now: $4.40). Both runs back from a break have been just fair, but they have come on wet ground and I think he is a horse who is better suited on firmer footing. Gets the cart across via Barossa Rosa to land on speed and prove hard to beat I’d suggest.
4 Celer (Bet Now: $5.00) looks to have returned in good order for Kim Waugh. Trialled up enormous prior to resuming here where he got back off the speed before slicing his way through the field and charging late. If he can use gate one, he will take some beating against this lot.
8 Bryan’s Babe (Bet Now: $13.00) lacks the class of some of these, but she is racing well and is right down in the weights after the claim. Near the speed throughout when winning at Muswellbrook last time so she comes to town in winning form. Not sure she wins, but can sneak a first four spot.
Race 4. (15:50) IMPENDING @ DARLEY HANDICAP 1600m
2 Ahso (Bet Now: $4.50) looks hard to beat for the WaterBott camp. Kept very safe in betting when debuting here and under a lovely ride from Clipperton, he led throughout and was dominant to the line. Off that, the mile here should be fine and if he does get control, he’ll take some beating.
7 Too Much Class (Bet Now: $4.80) is the interesting runner. Maher/Eustace trained filly that has been well placed her last couple, the latest being at Orange where she had the suck run in behind the speed and finished best. Hasn’t beaten much, but is a filly in form and should be respected.
6 Yiyi (Bet Now: $9.00) looks a progressive filly for Chris Waller. Heavily backed late fresh at Kembla on a testing track and in a great struggle with Nearly Fine, she was able to fight on strongly and win, with nearly nine lengths to the third horse. Harder here, but has upside and in the right stable.
Race 5. (16:25) VINERY STUD HANDICAP 1000m
2 Our Bellagio Miss (Bet Now: $4.60) looks a relatively safe option here. Greg Hickman trained mare that brings some solid Saturday form into this. Latest run came on the Kenso track where she was near the speed and battled away pretty well when third to De Grawin. This looks significantly weaker and is very well in after the 3kg claim.
5 Brazenpine (Bet Now: $9.00) is going well for Team Snowden. Ran over this track/distance last time out where she got off the speed and worked home strongly at the end to finish third. Speed looks like it will be on, so she will get her chance to finish over the top.
Highly doubt 11 Irish Angel (Bet Now: $7.00) wins but she deserves another chance. Plenty were keen on her last time out at Warwick Farm but she didn’t fire a shot and was terrible. Was later found to have made an abnormal respiratory noise post race, so there were excuses. She can sneak a first four spot.
Race 6. (17:00) AUSTRALIA DAY CUP 2400m
Pretty keen here on 9 Skymax (Bet Now: $4.00). Happy to butter up with him again after being keen on him last time out on the Kenso track. Just got bogged down by the 61kg when fourth to Power Of Attorney. Tumbles down to 53kg, firmer footing…really keen on his chances against these.
5 Elaborate (Bet Now: $6.00) is racing really well at the moment for the Freedman camp. Ran last Saturday in the Subzero at the Gold Coast when near the speed and battling away really well when third to Black On Gold. This looks much weaker and remains down in the weights. Leading contender.
Up in trip I do like for 8 Humbolt Current (Bet Now: $10.00). Comes through the January Cup from a fortnight back in what turned out to be pretty much a barrier trial, so given he was last in the run, he had no chance. Much better suited here and can bounce back in a big way, taking this out.
Race 7. (17:25) TAB HANDICAP 1400m
3 Stormy Rock (Bet Now: $3.30) looks a standout in the get out. Matty Dunn trained gelding that has returned in very good order, the latest run coming on wet ground here when a close up second to Blondeau. Back on firmer footing, hard fit now…think only bad luck gets him beat.
4 Catapult (Bet Now: $7.50) isn’t far off a win for the Richard Litt camp. Ran last Saturday at Rosehill where he got back to near last in the run and finishing off with purpose late behind Private Eye. That form has to read well for a race like this. Just a matter of where he gets to in the run.
1 Exceltic(Bet Now: $11.00) should be better suited on firmer footing. Gary Portelli trained galloper that won the race on protest first up here before racing here again and working home okay late behind Blondeau. Think he’s better suited on firmer footing and drawn out, gets clear air from the outset and be strong at the end.
