Blacktype racing returns to Morphettville Parks on Saturday where it is Leon Macdonald Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is soft (6) and the rail is out three metres for the entire circuit.

Gee I think 2 Merry Mac Boy (Bet Now: $1.65) is a horse with good talent. He led throughout on the Synthetic at Pakenham and he made a mess of them, winning by a space. The form out of that race has been rank, but P G Moody and his younger horses are absolutely flying, and this horse looks to move very well.

4 Party Princess (Bet Now: $9.00) looks a filly with good talent. She debuted three weeks ago at Murray Bridge over 1200m and worked to the line strongly late in the piece when second to Intrepid Eagle, who was awful last Saturday when heavily backed, but I do think this filly has talent and clearly got upside.

5 More Reward (Bet Now: $21.00) is a filly I have always had time for. Resumed over 1100m two weeks back on the course proper and stuck on pretty well in defeat behind Alpha Flight, finishing third. I think an extra 150m is ideal and if she puts it all together, she can certainly take this out.

2 Golden Crusader (Bet Now: $2.45) looks the most obvious. Price/Kent trained former French stayer that has settled in well to Australian life. Loved the way he dug in to win at Sandown last time over 2100m, where he was there to be beaten but found when needed. He finds a pretty thin SA metro race and stable rarely get it wrong when they come here.

1 Ichibansan (Bet Now: $4.40) has found winning form and no reason why he can’t hold it. Stubby rode him with intent on the course proper here two weeks ago and the end result was a dominant win on testing ground. Don’t think coming back 50m is an issue and only has to hold his form to go close again.

6 Exalted Ruth (Bet Now: $7.00) will be on the bunny and trying hard. She did that last Wednesday at this track/distance and copped seruous heat on speed from eventual winner Trumpsta, but couldn’t quite fend that horse off and had to settle for second. Hard fit now, she commands respect if the last run hasn’t busted her.

12 Daunting Decision (Bet Now: $4.60) gets the nod in what looks an even maiden. Team Jolly trained filly that is on debut off the back and a trial and jumpout this time in, the jumpout over 600m when on speed and looked to move pretty well. Stable gets Vorster and from the gate, I think she’ll run a positive race.

11 Richana (Bet Now: $3.20) looks a mare who will win races. Debuted two weeks ago on the course proper here in a maiden and worked to the line strongly nearer the inside when third after spotting a decent start. Hopefully she can settle closer in the run and if so, will be hard to hold out.

2 Field Of Steel (Bet Now: $11.00) will jump on the bunny and give a sight. Ran over this track/distance last Wednesday when showing good early toe to lead and he gave a solid kick but just felt the pinch late. Last bit will test, but with his racing style, I am sure he’ll give a good sight.

8 Commodity (Bet Now: $3.80) gets the nod for the Price/Kent camp. Got control in a Geelong maiden last time and the ride from J Kah won the race, getting control, dictating and kicked hard. I think there was depth to that line up and despite drawing wide, he’ll roll forward and take beating.

2 Big Man At Night (Bet Now: $3.00) can make it 2/2 to start his career. Michael Hickmott trained gelding that debuted over 1200m at Balaklava where he led throughout and was dominant late, winning by a space and running solid enough time. There is depth to this Class One but he is a likely type.

5 Bubble Over (Bet Now: $4.50) should love a rise to 1250m. He ran over 1100m two weeks back on the course proper here and was very good from the back when a close up fourth to Saville, beaten just under three lengths. Hard to beat if she is able to sit closer in the run.

10 Princess Raffles (Bet Now: $4.60) has an awful racing pattern but she clearly has the engine under the hood to take this out. Ran last Saturday at Murray Bridge and was very good late after spotting a big start. Has run well at the track before and is a proven city performer. Definite winning chance.

7 Nana Dulce (Bet Now: $4.20) is a Roslyn Day trained mare that bounced back to winning form over 1250m here last Wednesday, sitting off a genuine speed before finding clear under Wong and gee she produced sharp change up speed to bolt in. If she can hold that form here, she’ll take beating.

12 Bonnie Gangster (Bet Now: $19.00) is a working progress for Grant Kluske and can certainly take this out. Ran over 1100m on the course proper here two weeks ago and was quite good from off the speed when second to a talented youngster, Alpha Flight. I think a rise in trip suits and this race is a bit on the thin side.

8 Another Free Glass (Bet Now: $6.00) has found winning form and can certainly hold it. Lovely ride from Vorster saw him win last Wednesday here, sitting back against the race shape but charged clear late and was dominant. Hopefully he can go on with it now in a winnable Saturday race.

11 Turfitt (Bet Now: $6.00) doesn’t win out of turn but is a mare who is capable in what appears to be a thin race. Ran over the mile on the course proper here two weeks ago where she was given a peach by Neindorf and looked the winner but couldn’t quite finish the race off when a narrow fourth to Ziggi Rocks. The depth here isn’t as strong, so think she can take this out.

6 Equal Balance (Bet Now: $7.50) is getting on in years but is racing as well as ever it seems like. He ran at the midweeks at Balaklava last time where he was well tried at odds and under a peach from Ben Price, the eight year old made a mess of them. Yet to really prove himself at metro level, but he has earned a crack here.

Looks to be an absolute stack of speed engaged here, so I think it sets up ideally for 6 Wotuwant (Bet Now: $4.60), who ran in the Spring Stakes two weeks ago and ran a career best when fourth to Calypso Reign. Back to 76 grade, sitting off a good tempo, gee I think he’ll take beating.

13 Zarace (Bet Now: $7.50) has found a new lease on life. He looked absolutely gone once upon a time but he has real found a real purple patch, winning two on the bounce. Latest win was two weeks ago where he was there to be run but found under pressure and surged hard to get the win over Kong. Good test here, but confident he measures up.

4 Morialta (Bet Now: $9.00) is better suited over further, but he’s a very genuine animal for Stuart Padman. He is first up, having not raced since October 9 when a strong winner over the mile on the course proper here. Likely this is a prep run, but good speed in front, he’ll be strong late.

Having a complete throw at the stumps in the shape of 3 Mr Marathon Man (Bet Now: $21.00). He is four weeks between runs since racing over 1200m on the course proper here when back in the run and never a factor behind Pimm’s Party. Drawn inside, he can settle much closer and potentially gets the sit behind Run And Tell. I think at big odds, he’s worth a small each way bet.

4 Jacks On Ice (Bet Now: $7.50) is third up from a break and should just about be at peak fitness. Bit on the plain side fresh behind Knightstown here. He then went to the midweeks at Balaklava where he led and gave a solid kick but couldn’t finish it off when second to Obi. Hard fit, on speed, right track for his pattern, he’ll take beating.

7 Classy Kenny (Bet Now: $11.00) is flying for the Hickmott/Riggs camp. He ran last Saturday at Murray Bridge where he got a fair way back in the run and worked to the line strongly late when third to Maracourt. His racing style isn’t great, but if he can settle closer in the run, he’ll be dangerous.

10 Agreeable (Bet Now: $3.30) deserves another chance. First run for Will Clarken came in the Spring Stakes where she ran her race in patches, nearly coming down at the top of the straight, but picked up and was good late. The rise to 1400m is ideal and with clear air, I think she can bounce back into the winners list.

11 So Say Angel (Bet Now: $9.50) has come back in super order and commands respect. She was an arrogant winner a few weeks back at Murray Bridge. Stubby put her into a gun spot just behind the speed and just a matter of pushing the button. Once he did, it was race over and she was dominant. Key winning chance once again.

8 Oh Mo (Bet Now: $16.00) is flying for Sam Burford and happy to include him. Lovely ride from Vorster saw him win two back on the Parks track before racing at Murray Bridge where he had cover out the back and presented to win, but couldn’t quite get there when third to So Say Angel. Hard to beat if he can settle closer in the run.

13 Enchantingly (Bet Now: $4.20) is the x factor here. Quality mare for Scott Westover that resumes, having not raced since October when down the track behind Thompson’s Reward, producing an end of prep run. That followed a game fifth in the How Now behind Bella Nipotina, so keen to see how she goes off the back of a sharp trial win.

7 Deevine (Bet Now: $9.00) is a Ryan Balfour trained mare who is racing in such a purple patch. Class got her home at the midweeks two back at Gawler before racing on the course proper here and worked to the line strongly late when second to Next Dimension. If she can settle closer in the run, she’ll take beating.

14 Somewatt Fabulous (Bet Now: $16.00) is a mare I am not dropping off. Quality mare for Team Jolly that resumed a few weeks ago where she was back near last in the run and was solid late without threatening behind impressive winenr Taunting. Her best is clearly good enough. Hopefully she can settle closer in the run.
