3 Kikkuli (Bet Now: $5.50) is the way I am leaning in the opener. Clarken/O’Shea trained colt that is on debut off the back of a nice trial win at Bordertown where he was on speed throughout and moved well under Crowther before being clicked up and he went to the line nicely to win. Maps ideally and is bred to be strong at the end.

9 Isla’s Fury (Bet Now: $3.30) is a Team Jolly filly that is on debut. She led throughout to win a Murray Bridge trial a few weeks ago and what I liked is that when she was asked for the effort, she responded and fended off a nice unraced horse I feel. Likely lands on speed and takes running down.

12 Nextonixs (Bet Now: $3.80) will land on speed and run a positive race. She debuted at Mindarie-Halidon when leading and giving a decent sight in front but couldn’t quite see it through, tiring late behind Swiss Wish when second. Right racing style and should be better for the debut run under the belt.

1 Pesto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a great bet here in a thin race. On the seven day back up after racing at Caulfield on Saturday where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never really a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Up to 2400m, back miles in grade/depth, gee he looks well placed.

2 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now: $6.50) has to be given another look for Richards/Moyle. Totally forgiving of her run two weeks ago on the course proper where she got back in what was a barrier trial. She was never a winning threat given the race shape so forgive and forget the run. Prior efforts were sound enough to give this a shake.

5 Stormsarrived (Bet Now: $7.00) was the despised outsider when winning two weeks back on the course proper but her rivals disrespected her, leaving her alone in front and she gave nothing else a look in, finding under pressure to fend off her rivals to win. Not sure she wins again, but I would be including her in exotics.

4 Klabel (Bet Now: $1.95) has a great track/distance record and should take beating here after racing in the Whylie two weeks ago on the course proper here when wide on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through but didn’t disgrace himself in defeat behind Press Down. Like him up in trip and the depth is nowhere near as deep.

1 Master Eight (Bet Now: $8.50) looks suited here and can threaten with his best. He resumed two weeks back in the Whylie when near the speed and was chasing from the outset but he kept on and was pretty good in defeat behind Press Down. Fitter, back to this level, right racing style, he appeals.

5 Ocean Reward (Bet Now: $9.50) can run an improved race up in trip. He comes through the Whylie where he was outclassed on paper and ran accordingly, finishing down the track behind Press Down. He has a good record on the Parks track and can settle much closer in the run. Dangerous for sure.

1 Howl (Bet Now: $6.00) is four weeks between runs for David Jolly since racing over 1100m on the course proper where he was five wide, near last, and just couldn’t get involved behind Sir Sway. Good record on the Parks track and with a better run in transit, I think he’s going well enough to take this out.

5 Zufasta (Bet Now: $8.50) is a hard horse to catch at times but he comes here off a first up win so I say he’s here and in with a shout. The first up win was at Mindarie-Halidon, leading throughout and was too good, just, on a track that does suit on speed runners. He has run well in town before so I am not penning him.

6 Qeyaady (Bet Now: $8.50) has a good track/distance record and brings decent enough form. Ran on the course proper a fortnight back when off the speed and found the line well enough without threatening in a decent enough effort behind the in form Deepfloat Diva. Back to the Parks track, he appeals.

6 Savsonic (Bet Now: $4.40) isn’t racing too bad for Stephen Theodore and is one of the key chances here I say. Ran over 1800m on the course proper two weeks ago when doing work on speed and although he was entitled to knock up late, he kept on and was pretty good in defeat behind Silent Don. Better run in transit, he takes beating.

1 Ketchikan (Bet Now: $18.00) doesn’t win out of turn but he is a last start winner and finds a very thin race. He won at Port Augusta last time, sitting wide and doing work and he was entitled to knock up but he kept on and found under pressure to win. He’ll land near the front and be hard to get past.

10 Got An Inspiration (Bet Now: $13.00) is an improver at a big price. He comes through the On The Scent race from a few weeks back. He had a suck run on the fence and made up minimal headway in a somewhat plain effort. Getting towards a more ideal trip and I think his best is good enough to be dangerous at odds.

7 Stratum Pride (Bet Now: $5.00) is bursting to win a race. This mare has been runner up her past three, the latest being three weeks ago over 1400m here when off the speed and worked to the line with purpose in a pretty good effort behind Victorian raider Freak Of Nature. Like her up in trip and she finds a very winnable race I say.

5 Theodor (Bet Now: $7.50) was scratched from a much easier race during the week in preference for this. He resumed over 1300m at Balaklava and was one of the eye catchers of the meeting, closing off with purpose from near last behind Sir Panama, finishing third. Fitter and up in trip, good upside, he takes beating.

4 High On Sugar (Bet Now: $3.70) has returned in pretty good order and off a win, is a leading contender. Far from disgraced fresh behind Winning Revolution before going to Murray Bridge where he was on speed, ridden with intent and found under pressure to win and win well. Good room for improvement, he’s in the mix.

1 Air Assault (Bet Now: $2.00) is the class horse and with the claim, he does get in very well. Loved the ticker he showed to win the Balaklava Cup last time. He was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and was quite strong to the line. Glides across and takes running down for sure.

7 Riverplate (Bet Now: $7.00) is one of the threats if the fav is off his game. He just got too far back in the run and was never a factor in the Balaklava Cup behind Air Assault in a total forgive. Think with a more positive ride, he can run a much improved race against these.

9 Magnetic Edge (Bet Now: $27.00) is a definite chance here I say. This guy ran over this trip two weeks ago on the course proper where he got back in the run and while he was never really a winning threat, he did make up ground and was good in defeat I thought behind impressive winner A Samurai Mind. I do think that form reads very well for this, he can settle forward…hard to beat I say.

6 High Five (Bet Now: $5.50) is one of the hardest to beat for Michael Hickmott. He resumed at this track/distance three weeks ago where he got into a decent spot off the speed and tried hard, but first up, his condition just blew out late behind Jillaodra. Fitter and with good upside to come, I say he’s hard to beat against this lot.

8 Free Vino (Bet Now: $10.00) doesn’t have the best of winning records but he is an honest animal for Richards/Moyle that is rarely far away, which was the case three weeks ago behind Jilldora when off the speed and while he was never a winning threat, he did close off and was pretty good in defeat. Has to be given respect.

10 Burning Bright (Bet Now: $5.50) is an Andrew Gluyas trained mare that is racing well but just can’t quite crack it for a win. She has finished runner up her past two, the latest being two weeks ago on the course proper when near the speed and fought on very well behind the in form Longer Route. Racing well and commands respect.

11 Longwarry (Bet Now: $27.00) has to be given another look for Peter Hardacre. He was wide no cover three weeks back when wide no cover on speed and that hard run told late in the piece, finishing down the track behind Jilladora. I think with a more economical run in transit, he’s dangerous.

4 Voltage Point (Bet Now: $6.00) is one of the key threats. He ran on Balaklava Cup Day last time when wide no cover on speed and that early burn just told on him in the straight but he stayed on and was sound in defeat behind Everglade. Good record at the Parks track and dangerous if there is petrol left in the tank.

6 Even Sharper (Bet Now: $12.00) is racing consistently for Andrew Gluyas and is one of the hardest to beat. Three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m here where he got off the speed and kept finding the line with purpose in a good effort behind in form mare Jilladora. Back in trip I find interesting but should be strong late and finds a winnable race.

NEXT BEST: Race Seven Number 1 Air Assault

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 11 Longwarry
