4 Luva Flutta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks raw and very new to the caper but he has an engine under the hood. Stuart Kendrick trained colt that is on debut off the back of a trial win at the Sunny Coast where he wanted to lay in under pressure but he showed good change up speed and was impressive. If he can improve off that and have better racing manners, he is #1 seed.

3 Crown The King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. GaiBott trained colt that ran third in a trial at Randwick behind King Kirk when near the speed and did respond well enough when asked for an effort. The gate is tricky but I think the instructions will be to hum across and we saw last year that Sydney visitors are just too good in these early 2YO races.

12 Tinkerbella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Invader. She won a trial over 860m at Gatton where she led throughout and yes, she didn’t beat much and the time was nothing flash, but she seemed to move well enough to my eye and seemingly has a good racing style. Not sure she wins, but one for exotics.

9 Feathertop (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Matty Dunn trained mare that has had two runs since coming over from Ireland, catching the eye late fresh at Ipswich before going to this track/distance where she gave them a start and a beating to win and win well. Improvement to come and fitter, she takes beating.

6 Satay Chicken (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ready to win for Cody Morgan. He ran over the mile a few weeks back at Doomben and worked to the line quite well in a good effort when third to surprise winner Credit Controller. This isn’t a deep contest so for mine, he’s hard to beat.

3 Northern Decree (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous here I feel, especially up in distance. He ran over 1350m her last Wednesday where he got off speed and while he was never really a winning threat, he made up headway and was a pass mark in defeat behind Naval Trader. Up in trip and just about at peak fitness, he’s dangerous.

7 Iverson (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has come back in really good order and will love getting to the mile. He ran over 1400m at the Gold Coast last time out when off speed and was held up initially before angling clear and he worked home strongly when third to Sha Of Gomer. Hard fit now and up in distance, he’ll do me.

2 Junipal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting on in years but he has class when right and isn’t racing too bad. The sit/sprint set up wasn’t to his liking at Randwick last time and just couldn’t quite dash with them late behind impressive winner Floating. If he brings his best, he can give this a shake.

4 Eaglemont (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to the mile for Matty Dunn. He ran over 1400m at the Gold Coast two weeks ago where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never really a winning threat, he did make up headway and was a pass mark in defeat behind Winston Smurfhill. Up in trip again, he rates highly.

18 Shy Guy… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) surely luck is going to be on his side sooner rather than later. He should have won over 2040m here last time out but he pretty much went around for a barrier trial, getting badly held up in the straight when bolting for a run. He’s bursting to win and he finds a winnable race.

6 I Am The Empire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will put himself on speed and look to give his all, which was the case a fortnight back at the Gold Coast and looked the winner when Jag asked him to go but he couldn’t quite see it through, nabbed late by Bak Da Man. Hard fit, in form, he’ll give a bold sight I am sure.

10 Bedford Square (Bet Now:  $SP.00) doesn’t win out of turn for Jack Bruce but she is an honest mare who is rarely far away from the thick end of the prize. She ran behind Bak Da Man two weeks back at the Gold Coast when off the speed and kept finding in a good effort. Not sure I could back her to win but one to be entertained for exotics.

6 Street Chase (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the hardest to beat. Stuart Kendrick trained three year old that looked a good thing when resuming in a maiden over 1110m here and despite a couple of nervous moments, class kicked in late and he was much too good. Confident he can measure up against these.

1 Mishani Lily (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can book her ticket down South with a win here. The market drift was quite alarming when she ran at the Gold Coast two weeks ago but nobody told the filly that as she produced sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. End of 1200m is the knock but she’ll look the winner for a long way.

2 Gin A Tonic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice three year old for Bevan Laming that ran at the Gold Coast a fortnight back when chasing the speed, Mishani Lily, and tried hard, but he couldn’t sustain the run and tired late to run third. Think if the tempo is more gentle here, he takes beating.

5 Outlawed (Bet Now: $10.00) looks to have returned pretty well and should appreciate a rise to 1350m. She resumed over 1200m at the Gold Coast two weeks ago in the Pink Ribbon when off the speed and kept chasing in a pretty solid return behind impressive winner Catwalk Criminal. Fitter and up in trip, she only runs well I say.

6 My Pins (Bet Now: $11.00) is flying for Bevan Laming. Three weeks between runs for Bevan Laming since a win over 1400m at Eagle Farm. She got into a sweet sit just off the speed before angling clear and was strong to the line in winning. Bit of depth to this line up but hard to knock the way she’s racing.

1 Tojaki (Bet Now: $10.00) is a Stuart Kendrick trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since June 1 at Eagle Farm when off the speed and made up minimal headway in an end of prep run behind Sunset Soiree. She can sprint well fresh and has trialled up nicely for the return.

11 Midori Beauty (Bet Now: $4.50) is enjoying life under the care of Matty Dunn and is the one to beat I say. He has had two runs since returning from Hong Kong, winning impressively fresh here before going to the Gold Coast where he just got too far back and was quite good late in the piece. Up to 1350m I don’t mind and if he can settle closer, he takes beating.

7 Evocator (Bet Now: $6.50) should appreciate a rise in trip for Barry Lockwood. This guy resumed three weeks ago at Eagle Farm over 1200m where he got off the speed and while he was never really a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was good in the return behind Manhood. Might want one more and a rise to the mile but off the return, commands respect.

3 Release The Beans (Bet Now: $34.00) is capable with his best. He resumed over 1000m at the Sunny Coast where it was more or less a barrier trial for him and he ran accordingly when down the track behind Reliable Ruby. Might want another run but he does have quality when right and has upside.

What to do with 22 Barassi (Bet Now: $7.50). I think you have to give him another chance but what horse is left. He was completely torched by Wheeler at the Gold Coast when resuming two weeks ago, being tardy away but hunted to lead and he was a beaten horse 200m out so forgive and forget. If he finds the front, gets control, he takes running down.

2 Reliable Ruby (Bet Now: $11.00) is a slight query beyond 1000m but she has class on her side. She resumed a month ago over 1000m at the Sunny Coast where she gave them a start and a beating, and was impressive. Can she stretch her brilliance to 1110m? If she can, she’s hard to beat.

4 Brentwood (Bet Now: $15.00) is a son of I Am Invincible for Tony Gollan that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since April 27 at Eagle Farm when slow to recover so a total forgive I thought behind In Evidence. Loves racing at Doomben, good record fresh and has trialled up well for his return.

7 Headwall (Bet Now: $2.70) on top in the get out in what looks a two horse race. Matty Smith trained gelding that ran three weeks ago at Flemington down the straight when off speed and presented wider, launching late but found one better in Moby Dick. Maps ideally and up to 1200m, hard fit, he’ll do me.

9 Tribeca Star (Bet Now: $3.80) looks one of the hardest to beat. Three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Eagle Farm where he sat back in the run before being presented wider and unleashed a strong finale but just missed out on the win when a narrow second to Manhood. Track/distance winner and hard fit, he appeals as one of the hardest to beat.

11 Release The Beans (Bet Now: $51.00) is capable with his best. He resumed over 1000m at the Sunny Coast where it was more or less a barrier trial for him and he ran accordingly when down the track behind Reliable Ruby. Might want another run but he does have quality when right and has upside.
